Yes, guests often enjoy the harbor view available here. There's also a caf that serves tea and coffee.If you want to work out during your stay at S'Algar, you can use the gym at the sister hotel, Portblue Hotel San Luis.The rooms at S'Algar are in a traditional style and decorated with natural colors. However, guests can choose to eat here and pay accordingly. The staff apply this charge very religiously.
However we were reassured to discover that the new brand had taken the wise decision to recruit the previous General manager who is one of the most professional, available and client focused Managers we have ever met. The only downside is that you have to pay for your drinks which is a shame as in previous years you didn't (as it was historically part of the resort all inclusive offer). My advice is go with the flow and open yourself to what's on offer.

This area then became our favourite pre dinner spot (take your drink on to the adjacent outside terrace which is shaded and has sea views). We had a walk around the hotel noting many of the small changes such as general decor and furniture changes in all the communal areas which have all helped to update and enhance the look and feel of the hotel. Hotel guests can sit and drink in the shaded pool side bar area (one of our favourite spots) and on the large bean bags at no cost. During the start of our holiday The Kentia club had a very different feel to what we had experienced in previous visits as it sets itself up with an Ibiza vibe along with its modern Balinese beds and afternoon DJ sets pumping out chill out music. The Hotel terrace bar gets the sun in the evening and so if you want a cooler location, take your drink down to the terrace under the main restaurant, where it's so much cooler. The reception team is really excellent and it was great to see a number of familiar faces and we were soon enjoying a glass of Cava as we checked in. To put things into perspective, we only saw a couple of kids in the pool over 10 days and most days I could count the number of people in the pool on one hand so please don't let this become an issue before you even arrive! For example we were booked into a Suite yet the pictures showed a sea-view room from the hotel, rather than the wonderful addition of plunge pools and other benefits we found on arrival. Adequate. Several people we met had returned numerous times and I would definitely return too. A shame as otherwise it's a great hotel. However the original front row is still excellent and has the major benefit of the wonderful sea view. There is a price guide on the wall and we found that both our journeys were cheaper than the guide (27 euros) and so I would have no hesitation to use them again. Many travelers enjoy visiting Moli de Dalt (2.5 miles) and Rectoria de Santa Maria (4.4 miles). You also have access to a club bar area in the main lounge where you have a help yourself drinks area and some basic snacks from 11.00am - 11.00pm. We did and soon found our rhythm and quickly rediscovered why we are very much in the love camp!

The hotel is lovely, does great food, beautifully appointed, is extremely clean and its main attribute is the friendliness and customer care of the staff. Firstly, the hotel is not cheap so one might. Hotel is clean and comfortable with good food. We didn't realise this area included spirits when we were first shown this area on arrival as it was prior to 11.00 am. The area around the nice hotel pool has a selection of very nice sunbeds and parasols which also have a view over the sea. The Hotel has two beautiful freshwater swimming pools both of which are available to guests of the Hotel to swim in. Al carte restaurant isnt in the all inclusive package which such a-shame very food and service but its worth a visit To unwind, you can visit the hotel spa, which has a sauna and whirlpool. When staying in these Suites you are automatically enrolled into The Favourites Club which gets you a complimentary welcome bottle of Cava as well as a few bottles of drinks in the fridge which are not replaced once consumed. The main pool area was great. However, I found one particular aspect of the hotel policy to be extremely poor, greedy and disrespectful to their hotel guests. The other lunch dining option within the AI offer was the snack menu which in the past we have used rather than the main buffet restaurant at lunch time. The smaller pool (still big and beautiful) is exclusively for Hotel guests and it also has a small bar and toilet facilities and was really no different from previous years and so we didn't feel overly hemmed in. The lady that helped us to check in was genuine and lovely; very polite and friendly. I found there was uncertianty after I had read the reviews about sun beds and restaurants so I will try and make it clear. The restaurant was small and the staff looked after everyone very well. If you don't like the house wine in the restaurant you can always purchase others and they will keep the balance in the fridge until your next meal (assuming that you haven't finished the bottle). The problem for me was that they want to charge Euro 10 per sunbed per day for each guest to use these sunbeds. Entertainment starts at 10.00 PM and is low key and so you might want to consider a walk up the hill to the sister hotel where I was told by another guest that the entertainment is more lively. The resort of SA'lgar has always been a marmite resort, where you would either love it if you want a slow paced chilled out holiday, or alternatively hate it if you were expecting lots of party nightlife!
