I have a Jet AFS 1000B mounted in the ceiling. I have the 3 hp version of that older model and have been generally pleased with it. So I am looking for a new one. Got to it after lunch, changed out and plugged it in. Repair shop is 30ish miles from my place. Decided on the Laguna, I move my stuff around alot and the Laguna looked beefier for that. Like Robo I have the 30gal because I have height limitations where I mounted it. yeah, I've done some research the last few days and initially my impression was Laguna is a high end tool company, but finding out that at least with their dust collectors, both the product and sometimes service was spotty. Sounds like every thing else on the DC is good. All my other festool tools I'll have hooked up to the CT26e. I spoke to both Laguna and Oneida reps. I had the large Delta dust collector for a lot of years when I did almost all flat work utilizing a table saw, 15" planer, 8" jointer, etc. This seems to only apply to the 3hp models and up.

What does the planer mfg suggest? 30gal is great plenty for lathe (only use for dust), tablesaw, bandsaw, mitersaw and even router table (not used for long periods). What is currently stopping me is the 35 gallon version is a 10 week wait, the 55 gallon version is a 4 week wait. It may not display this or other websites correctly.
