Hi Clifford. Asked Thomann if they could test this on a another TubeMeister deluxe 40, but they told me that they did not have any there to test! So when you press the 18W button, TSC disables one pair of tubes to reduce the output power by half from 36 to 18 watts.

By the way i probably use the amp about every 3/4 days so not too often. This can help you fix the output of your Hughes and Kettner amp and continue using it with your guitars easily.
If the amp does get too hot, simply switch it off for a few minutes, and start again later, or use a desktop fan to keep it cooler.
It sorta sounds like bad tubes to me, but I'd start by eliminating the add'l redbox from the signal chain. -there very flexible, lots of features, some don't like the "over processed" core tone.. Hi Chuck.

TSC is there just to monitor and adjust the bias current of the tubes as and when necessary. (This also depends on what guitar pickups you use, etc.)

Im certain Ive had my GM36 default to 0w before when no load is connected (great design feature!) Thats going to be awesome, but also not cheaper than an iRig. They told us that if you set all settings the same for all channels, the volume rises with the gain of the channels.

You can be totally relaxed about using the amp at home under any conditions for recording, and for any amount of time. Overall i could not be happier with the gm!! Our impedance expert who wrote the article does maintain that you can get great sounds out of mismatched setups, and as long as youRe careful you wont do any damage to your kit. As mentioned above, there can be various problems that you might have to face with your Hughes and Kettner amp, but the severe problem would be your amp dying out on you. WeRe assuming your TSC power tubes readout is fine?

Once you have checked the fuse, you would also need to check the connecting wires with the lights panel and see if it is working fine or not, this should help you detect the problem more efficiently, and you would be able to fix these issues. Although, as much as you want, there might be no way to fix your Hughes and Kettner amp if it has died.
Would you guys rather recommend a 212 or 412 cab? When you press the 5W and 1W buttons, some of the power is converted into heat for further reduction, respectively. It's nowhere near loud enough to cause any problems though. Unfortunately, there are no plans to make a GrandMeister combo at the moment. However, from our experience theres more than enough juice in the GrandMeister to drive 412 cabs too! For example, the reason why you dont like the stock ones what other tonal nuances would you like that are not present in the stock tubes tone? Lastly, also wondering if it is possible to use the iPad app at the same time as locking-in to Logic Pro X It is my understanding they both require MIDI connection but not entirely sure on MIDIs capabilitiesperhaps both can be used using MIDI thru ?? So youre all good to go with them!
I had owned the TM18 for a couple years and made extensive use of the Red Box for recording and live shows.
Once the amp dies, there is really no way to fix it. I have one of the first TriAmps and the matching 412 slant cabinet, and it still has many great tones, but it is also way too much amp for most of my venues.

Its a feature of the Meister amps that they get hot. The tube indicators on the back of the amp indicate the tubes are ok but there is no sound coming out. The Red Box of the GrandMeister (and TubeMeister) captures the signal in between power amp and power soak, so even in silent recording mode (power soak set to 0 watts), you can enjoy full-blown power amp saturation. replex kettner My amp was working. Heres one more tip for you if youre considering one of our amps though: the newer TubeMeister Deluxe amps have a more advanced vcersion of our Red Box DI than the GrandMeister. Yep, right keeping stuff inside cool is paramount, so you would need to adjust the fan accordingly. dont want my GM36 getting damaged!
The trick is: if the signal and inverted signal run at the same time through a cable, any electrical interference will change the signal and inverted signal in the same way. Sometimes, it will turn out that the tubes were not wired correctly, but at times, it could also be because some tubes are not fully functional. Hope this helps, and enjoy your GrandMeister!
