The town features some interesting Ottoman-style architecture and a couple of good local cafes. Dont expect to swim! Enjoy! The most accessible destination for a day trip from Dubrovnik is Lokrum Island, situated less than a mile away from the fortified city. Once there, visit Tekija (Blagaj Tekke), Muslim Dervish monastery (hermit house) built under the cliff 600 years ago. I can obviously appreciate its importance, but it wasnt especially impactful for me. My advice would be to stay overnight in Split so you have a bit more time (and can enjoy the city by night too!).
